Thank you for your post! I found that if I use Vst (dc, ch, dc) ch3, Vst in the corner space, the square got very wobly on the edges and had a hard time laying flat. It seemed to me the increase of stitches each round was too big so I started playing around with that. I’ve now restarted, adding 2 dc instead of 2 Vst in the corner space each round, which seems to have solved this problem. It means 1 round I’ll have dc, ch3, dc in the corner space and the next round like you describe, Vst, ch3, Vst (3 corner spaces round 1: Vst, (dc, ch3, dc), Vst; 3 corner spaces round 2: space,(Vst, ch3, Vst), space)
Even though every other round I now use a bc instead of a Vst, I find it doesn’t really change the look of the square overall and it helps the square lay flat as it gets bigger
Happy crocheting!
Simone
