I am starting one using a template of squares. The squares are going to be solid grannies with the innermost rows being the high temp of the day, then the next rows the low temp, and then the outermost row being the birth stone month’s color. I am using a small hook and finer yarn for the squares themselves since there are so many of them. I will border them with plain white or black and join as I go.

Wouldn’t this make for a 7-8 foot long blanket? How do you account for this if you want a much shorter afghan?

In reply to Carolyn. I'm doing 183 stitches for the chain (as it's half rounded up of 365) I'm also doing a basic half double stitch throughout, just to keep it simple.

365 seems to be very long. If I use a single stitch crochet what size hook would I use to make one no longer than a bed?

We have high temperatures also, up to 120 F what’s the colour for that temperature.

If you think you are not going to crochet for a day, just take the temperature and write it down so when you pick up your project, you have that information handy.
