And if you can read a simple amigurumi pattern and have crocheted a few times before, this could be the perfect next project for you.

I've included stacks of images, notes, details and descriptions to help you crochet your own giraffe quickly and easily. And I hope you'll be as happy with the end result as I was!

Please note that this is a set of crochet pattern instructions, not a physical product. The pattern is written in US terms. You will also need 50g of brown/orange aran weight yarn, 100g of yellow DK yarn, a 3.5mm crochet hook, some toy stuffing, a handful of stitch markers, a tapestry or yarn needle, and a pair of 20mm safety eyes.

You’ll have noticed that I used two different yarn weights in this pattern. It’s a little unconventional, but I wanted to give a lift to the hoof areas and patches, which I think this heavier weighted yarn achieves.

As with all of my patterns, you'll find my email address on the final page. So if you have any questions at all during your time making your giraffe, just drop me a message and I'll be happy to help.

There is nothing like a classic crochet teddy bear pattern. It’s something I think we all want in our amigurumi collections, and I’m so delighted to share my personal design.

Floppy Monkey Pattern PDF https://lucykatecrochet.com/product/floppy-monkey-pattern-pdf-only https://lucykatecrochet.com/product/floppy-monkey-pattern-pdf-only#respond Tue, 10 Sep 2024 10:39:03 +0000 https://lucykatecrochet.com/?post_type=product&p=7957 I love a floppy monkey toy so much that I decided to make one myself! And I have to admit, I'm pretty happy with the results. This crochet monkey pattern has adorable dangly legs and an expression that will make anybody grin just as wide. The tweed yarn gives it a fun vintage feel, and it’s very simple to hook together.

This is a beginner friendly pattern, packed with illustrative photographs of the construction process, and plenty of written detail too. The step by step instructions for crocheting and hand sewing the parts together will be easy to follow, and you'll have a floppy monkey of your own in no time.

Please note that this is a set of pattern instructions, not a physical product. It is written in US crochet terms. You will also need 150g Debbie Bliss aran tweed yarn in sunset brown, 100g Debbie Bliss aran tweed yarn in silver gray, a 4mm crochet hook, a pair of 12mm safety eyes, some toy stuffing and a yarn needle. I also used black worsted weight yarn scraps for the nostrils and mouth.

It's fine to substitute the yarn for another brand, just remember to check the packaging for the recommended hook size.

If you have any questions whilst you are crocheting along, you'll find my email address on the last page of the pattern instructions. I'm always happy to help.

The exact yarn quantities this crochet monkey pattern will require will depend a little upon the yarn weight you choose, and how tight your tension is.
