It's a beginner friendly pattern, with plenty of instructions, and scope to make the design your own through getting creative with your gecko's markings.

Please note, this is a downloadable PDF pattern - not a physical product. When you have checked out, click on the download button to access your crochet instructions. The crochet pattern is written in US terms.

This is a PDF pattern to allow you to crochet your own gecko. You will also need:

  • 150g light green DK yarn
  • 20g bright red DK yarn
  • 8mm safety eyes
  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • Toy safe stuffing
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Yarn or tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers

I used acrylic yarn to make the gecko you can see here, but she’d look awesome in a cotton blend too. Just remember to check the hook size when you choose your yarn.

I used Patons Fab DK in charcoal tweed for the black yarn, and a skein of white acrylic yarn from my scrap stash for the rest.
