We put a lot of time and effort into our crochet creations.
But when we make them for other people, it can be a strange feeling sending them on their way.
It can also be a little nerve-wracking when you provide a bespoke personal service for people.
Hoping that they are going to be as happy with it as you want them to be.
That’s why I am always thrilled when someone giving me feedback on something I have put together as a private order.
Today I got the lovely comment below. It made me so happy that I couldn’t resist sharing it with you guys:
I ordered a crochet Labrador to match our Chocolate Labrador Henry. He looks fantastic. Lucy kept us updated throughout and personalised him to our complete satisfaction. A first class service and a wonderful replica Henry to boot. Thank you Lucy.
You can probably guess the expression on my face when that came in.
I even got this adorable photo of Crochet Henry and real Henry making friends (at a crochet-safe distance!).
That is one gorgeous Labrador, I am so pleased to have made a tiny replica of him for his family.
Although it’s a Business day for me today, I still managed to squeeze in some crochet time.
I have popped a couple more pattern links onto Ravelry, and paid a visit to the local yarn store to pick up supplies for my latest commission.
I also grabbed some more safety eyes and a new G6 / 4mm hook.
I have a few projects on the go, several of which use the 4mm crochet hook.
I like to keep a hook in the last stitch, so that I can just pick it up and carry on without searching for equipment, so I’m running low on the right type at the moment!
I have made good progress with the crochet unicorn this evening. It’s really fun working this one up, especially as this Paton’s Smoothie DK cream yarn is a dream to hook.
I highly recommend giving it a go if you have a project you can use it for. Easy to pick up, full through and very soft and gentle on the fingers.
I’m looking forward to carrying on with it for the rest of the evening.
