I love crochet and I love my site, but I have to admit I’ve become a little bit distracted over the summer.
So this is me promising to turn over a bit of a new leaf when my daughter returns to nursery next week.
Starting with the site.
New Look, New Layout
I changed the appearance of Lucy Kate Crochet recently, making the menu easier to follow. I messed around with color schemes and importantly gave a bit more information about myself in the process.
My favorite sites are ones where you get to know the person behind them whilst you learn something new.
But I didn’t take this overhaul as far as I wanted.
I am going to make the menu simpler still – giving you a clear place to learn to crochet, a place to find all of the free crochet patterns, and a separate section for my personal blog.
I constantly have so many new ideas and potential patterns on the go, why am I waiting for them to be finished before sharing the journey with you guys!
I will be letting you know about our adventures as a family, the inspirations and influences I find even in the most unlikely places. Hopefully my experiences can help you to have even more fun with our favorite hobby.
So Much Yarn!
I am ever so slightly obsessed with crochet yarn…
Yet every time I go out I seem to manage to find somewhere to source even more.
I really want to share my findings, because knowing how to separate those prize quality finds from the easily snapped/despair inducing ones can saves cash, hours and even a few tears of frustration.
Thanks so much to everyone who has been so supportive of this blog in the past year, especially the wonderful people who have made my patterns and sent me photographs of them!
